The 2016 Llanelli District RFU Annual Presntation Dinner was held at the Betws RFC Clubhouse on Friday, 27th May 2016. The guest speaker for the evening was the WRU's Geraint John. The evening begun with a carvery of Turkey, Beef or Pork served with a selection of fresh vegetables followed by a desert and coffee and mints. The meal was prepared by the club's caterers, Susan and Eddie Bowen , who, together with their staff, produced an outstanding offering. This was followed by the actual presentations, wth Newcastle Emlyn RFC walking away with the majority of trophys, including the Scarlets League Trophy, Dorren Rogers Cup, Buckley Cup and the LLanelli & District Rugby Supporters Club Challenge Cup. They are to be congratulated on an outstanding season. The remaining trophy, the All Wales Sport Plate was presented to Burry Port, who also had a very good season. Following the trophy presentations, Geraint John gave a very illuminating talk on his role within the WRU and then took part in a Q & A session. The evening was a success and thoroughly enjoyed by those attending.
